About Aisha
Aisha Taylor Issah, Founder & CEO of the Sistahs in Business Expo, is a successful
entrepreneur, ordained minister, and former college professor. Aisha launched the Sistahs in
Business Expo (SIBEXPO) in October 2017, with the goal of providing an affordable and
accessible platform where entrepreneurial women of color could grow and showcase their
businesses while gaining valuable resources and information. SIBEXPO is the country’s only
multi-city small business expo created specifically to celebrate entrepreneurial women of color,
the country’s largest and fastest growing demographic of entrepreneurs.
The Sistahs in Business University was added to the brand in early 2019 in an effort to train and
equip entrepreneurs with the skills, tools, and resources needed to start, scale, and propel their
businesses to the next level. The brand later expanded to add the Sistahs in Business
Foundation, a 501c3 which provides grants to entrepreneurial women of color.
In April 2021, Aisha spearheaded the brand's successful launch of The Sistah Shop, a beautiful
5000+ sq ft retail location and e-commerce destination that now features 120+ brands by
entrepreneurial women of color, located at The Mills at Jersey Gardens in Elizabeth, NJ. The
Sistah Shop opened its second location at beautiful Atlantic Station in Atlanta, GA Juneteenth
weekend 2022.
Born and bred in Brooklyn, Aisha is no stranger to hard work and understands the needs of the
urban demographic. Over the years, she and her work have been featured in numerous
publications and media outlets including Black Enterprise, Sheen Magazine, NBC, CBS, ABC,
and FOX. She is a graduate of the University of South Carolina (B.S.), Marist College (MPA),
and New York Theological Seminary (M.Div.); and is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta
Sorority, Inc.
Aisha resigned from her role as an Executive Director with the City of New York after 14 years of service to focus on her ministerial and entrepreneurial endeavors. Since that time, she has
grown SIBEXPO into a national brand, led prison ministry efforts as a regional Field Director
with Prison Fellowship (an international prison ministry), worked as a Lead Instructor for the
NYC Grow with Google Learning Center, led TAYLORmade - Professional Career Consulting
firm, co-founded with her sister, and impacted countless small businesses and career
professionals through her passionate leadership, mentorship, and guidance. Her greatest joy is
found in being a nurturing mother to her one-year-old son Austin, a devoted wife to her husband Ramani, and a faithful servant in the gospel ministry.
